A fire at your residence and/or business can result in irrecoverable damage. Imagine the devastation if all of your personal belongings and work were to tarnish in flames. The wreckage and potential injury/loss of lives that can be caused by an unfortunate eruption of flames is easily preventable if you are proactive.

That’s where the James Lane Air Condition & Plumbing Co. comes into play. A leader in the design, inspection and installation process of fire sprinkler systems, we offer a variety of services designed to improve building safety and reduce maintenance costs.

Our company’s inspection programs, as required by the latest national codes, will ensure the continued reliability of your sprinkler system. They are created in accordance with insurance and industry needs.

In the event of a fire, your sprinkler system will help keep flames localized and prevent them from spreading. Multiple sprinkler heads are connected to a complex system of steel fire-resistant thermoplastic pipes hidden behind walls and ceilings of various rooms. The system works automatically and when used in conjunction with smoke alarms, immediately controls the blaze and limits property damage.

James Lane Co. will create and design your system to function in any emergency. Your system will be functionally tested to ensure that it works to properly respond to any crisis that may happen. Also, a 24/7-technician team is available to provide immediate service and repair to the system.

Like all building systems, there is potential of wear and tear on fire sprinkler systems from the sprinkler heads, covers, gauges, pipe fittings, etc. James Lane Co. addresses these issues and provides assistance as needed with scheduled inspection and maintenance services. We can also replace your sprinkler heads and covers to match the current system design.

James Lane Co. offers three types of fire sprinkler systems:

  • The Wet Pipe System – Highlighted by pressurized water-filled steel pipes, liquid is released in this system whenever a sprinkler head is activated. While this provides an exceptionally fast reaction time, the system may not be suitable in applications where the pipes may freeze.
  • The Dry Pipe System – This system features compressed air that is released when the system head is engaged to fill the pipe with pressurized water. While this equipment is not subject to freezing, it is slower to react than the wet system and its cost is usually higher.
  • The Pre-Action System – This system is triggered by a smoke detector (or other heat detecting device) that sends water into the pipes. When the sprinkler heads are triggered, the water is released in a similar manner to the wet pipe system.
